Hello, I am curious on how people can scam you on ebay. I was looking for a bx23 in the uk for $4000. If you send money to ebay customer support to hold until you recieve the tractor and inspect it, then after inspecting it you ok to send the money, can they still scam you? Im sure they can find a way but has anyone ever had a problem doing this?

I don't think eBay has a payment escrow service. They would likely send you a link to a spoof site that looks like eBay, and once you pay you would be SOL. ....

Thanks guys for the info. I guess i am too trusting on the internet. My wife talked me out of wiring the money western union. That was before I found this website. Lots of information here! I was feeling really good thinking about the deal i was getting. I am so glad i cancelled that transaction. Thanks again guys, and hopefully one day i might have a kubota, right now i guess i have to settle for my old fords. ....

Western Union is the catch! There is no recoarse on your money! Once sent it is gone! I buy a few things on e-bay as well as sell some from time to time and I prefer to buy from people who have paypal accounts. Most often I've found that many veichles are about 10% less then described and unless they are about 20% under value including the transportation I stay away. There may be some better quality items but I feel if they were worth top dollar they should be able to get it in their local market or at least close enough to make it an equal sale to the commision rate charged by ebay. That baring a non-airconditioned veichle or a snowmobile in Arizona! ....
